Honors Municipal Auditorium
The Sales
and Marketing Executives of Shreveport/Bossier has
selected the Municipal Auditorium as recipient of its 46th annual
Shreveport-Bossier Ambassador Award.
The presentation will
be made Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, at 6:30 p.m. at the auditorium.
The prestigious award
is reserved for civic-minded organizations or individuals who
go above and beyond the scope of their work to bring attention
and acclaim to North Louisiana. The Friends of the Municipal Auditorium
opened the Stage of Stars Museum in June, built a website this
summer, held a concert to recognize the 50th anniversary of Elvis
Presley’s professional debut in October and rededicated
the building on its 75th anniversary, Nov. 11.
Media coverage
on these events and a statue of Presley has been obtained in every
state in America and people from 100 countries have visited the
