BIRTHDAY PARTY
Birthday cake and coffee
will be served complimentary to the public at the Municipal Auditorium
Saturday, Jan. 8, from 2 to 4 p.m. to celebrate what would have
been Elvis Presley's 70th birthday.
As a 19-year-old, Presley made his first career performance on
the Municipal stage on Oct. 16, 1954. The Friends of the Municipal
Auditorium organized a 50th anniversary concert bash and other
events last October to celebrate that great moment in music history.
The auditorium, which now houses the Stage of Stars Museum (open
Saturdays), is located at 705 Elvis Presley Blvd.
